Midway Mfg. Co.

Midway Mfg. Co. produced a line of electromechanical wall games in the early 1970s.  These games used score reels similar to those used on EM pinball machines of that era, rather than the digital matrix displays incorporated on wall games produced by most other manufacturers.

Midway wall games also used motors, solenoids and relays rather than the Integrated Circuits and transistors employed by Gremlin and others.  The frames were wood-trimmed, rather than the plastic or aluminum frames used by other manufacturers.

The Midway wall games could be purchased with either wired remote controls, or with wireless RF transmitter remote controls.  The operator also had the choice between a wall-mounted game or a pedestal mount.  Wall-mounted versions had a separate coin box connected by cable to the wall game, while the pedestal versions had an integral coin box in the pedestal base.
